PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: 08/01/2026
Lauren Houston Coaching ("I," "me," or "my") operates laurenhoustoncoaching.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information I collect through the Site, how I use it, and the choices you have.
Information I Collect
Information you give me directly: When you fill out the "Let's Talk" form or subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your name, email address, and whatever you share in your message. If you book a session or become a client, I may collect additional information relevant to our work together, and additional consent forms may apply.
Information collected automatically: Like most websites, this Site may use basic analytics tools (through Squarespace) to understand traffic patterns, and may use cookies for that purpose.
How I Use Your Information
I use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, follow up about coaching, send newsletter content if you've subscribed, and maintain records related to our coaching relationship if you become a client. I do not sell your personal information.
How Your Information Is Shared
I use third-party services to run this business, and your information may pass through them as part of normal operation. These currently include:
Squarespace (website hosting and form submissions)
Substack (newsletter delivery)
Scheduling tool (if used)
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Your Rights
You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I have about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing lohoustoncoaching@gmail.com. If you're located somewhere with specific data rights (like the EU under GDPR or California under the CCPA), those rights apply to you as described by those laws.
Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent version.

COACHING DISCLAIMER
This disclaimer explains what coaching is, and just as importantly, what it isn't.
Coaching is not therapy. I am a coach, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical provider. Coaching is a forward-focused, action-oriented practice aimed at helping you get clarity and move toward what you want. It is not a substitute for mental health treatment, medical care, financial advice, or legal advice.
If you're in crisis, coaching isn't the right resource. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of harming yourself or others, or need clinical support, please contact a licensed mental health professional, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency room. I'm glad to help you find the right resource if you're not sure where to start.
You're an active participant. Coaching works best when you're honest, engaged, and willing to try new things. I'll bring structure, questions, and tools like the Becoming You Methodology, the Values Bridge, and the Enneagram where they're useful, but the insight and the choices are yours.
No guaranteed outcomes. Every client's path looks different, and coaching outcomes depend on many factors outside my control, including your own effort and circumstances. I don't promise specific results.
Confidentiality. What you share with me in our sessions stays between us, with standard exceptions required by law (for example, if there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else).
By working with me, you acknowledge that you understand coaching is not therapy, and that you're choosing to work with me as a coach with that understanding.
